Salty Mermaids Shell Shop is part of a long coastal tradition in Englewood, Florida. Originally established in 1965 as a beloved local brick and mortar shell shop, it has been a place where visitors and locals alike come to discover the beauty of the sea and take home unique ocean-inspired treasures left behind by the tide. Today, the shop continues that legacy—honoring its roots while offering a fresh selection of seashells from all around the world, alongside beach accessories and handcrafted coastal jewelry through our online shop. I recently took over the store in March 2026, and I am honored to carry the torch for this staple of our small coastal town. While maintaining the same Old FL vibe, I am excited to introduce new products that showcase many local artists, providing a space for them to share their creative lines. We are proud to carry forward its story and share a piece of Englewood’s shoreline with customers everywhere.
